India’s huge population is shaping the adoption of Bluetooth technology - and being shaped by it.
The next generation laptop, that Japan is developing is a blue tooth (wireless protocol) laptop that will be the size of little more than a fountain pen, which will fit snugly into your pocket or purse. At first glance it could easily be mistaken for a fountain pen, that appears to have a camera attached to the top of it.
No, it is not a ballpoint pen, it is the latest advance in miniature computers. This pen-type instrument will project both the monitor, as well as the keyboard on any flat surface. You will be able to carry out all the functions you normally do on your desktop computer. The day of carrying heavy computer bags with you will be over. All you need is a wall to project the screen on and a flat table top to project the virtual keyboard onto and bingo. You can connect to the Internet and do all your normal chores, with little more than a pen size instrument.

The first laptop computer was a zillion miles away from the first 30 ton electronic computer, created in 1943, known as Colossus. By the 1980’s personal computers (PCs) were becoming a more common item, followed closely on its heels with the lap top, which became available in 1982. It was about the size of a portable sewing machine and ready to revolutionize the business world. However, it would be 1987 before the first truly portable laptop would become popularized. By 1995 the introduction of Windows 95 standardized the operating systems on all computers.
Laptops were originally thought to belong to a ‘small niche market’, such as the military, or salesmen. How wrong was that? There are more laptops in businesses today, than desk top computers. Nearly every student owns a laptop.
