Why are you giving away Seachange Lodge?

Vanuatu may have been voted the ‘happiest country on earth’, but is a third world country that does not have the luxury of a free education system. Many children never even see inside a school room. In the Outer Islands, pencils are often broken into three, just to give some of the children something to write with. We wanted to find a way to give these children choices.

Why are you giving away 9 other cash prizes?

To give the ticket holders better odds to win something. Particularly when the Supplementary Prizes are drawn incrementally over the time of the sale of the accommodation vouchers.

Can I choose my ticket number?

Sorry, but the accommodation vouchers are sold using software that handles voucher numbers automatically.

Can I make my donation by cash, or bank transfer?

Sorry, you can only make your donation through the Internet.

When will I receive my ticket?

You will receive an automatically generated electronic numbered ticket, once you have made your donation to YouMe Support Foundation through winaresort.com. Your name will be posted on the YouMe Support Foundation central register.

It is important that you put correct contact information on your entry. Only the winners will be notified by phone and email.

Can I pass the winning ticket onto someone else?

You can only pass the winning ticket to someone else if you have the approval of the Board of Directors of YouMe Support Foundation. It would be better to claim your prize first and then negotiate with YouMe Support Foundation to hand the resort to the person of your choice.

Can you explain the Supplementary Cash Prizes to me?

Supplementary Cash Prizes are offered progressively throughout the period of the Draw for Seachange Lodge.

Your ticket is placed in the barrel of however many tickets have been sold. (This makes for fantastic odds in the early part of the raffle).

If you win, you just go right back into the barrel.

This makes you eligible for any subsequent Supplementary Prize draws, as well as the Super Draw for the Resort.

What if a draw is contested?

No correspondence will be entered into re the result of any draw.

The Draw will be done by independent professionals, such as lawyers and accountants and under police supervision. Neither the Board of Directors of YouMe Support Foundation, nor the current owners of Seachange Lodge will take part in any of the Draws.

Where will the draw be held?

It will be drawn in Vanuatu, within one week of the draw being declared closed.

How will we know how far the draw is progressing towards the minimum of 99,999 tickets issued?

A progressive report will be posted on the website.

When will the draw close?

The draw will close immediately after a total of 99,999 tickets have been issued.

Is there a minimum number of tickets that will be issued?

Yes, a minimum of 50,000 tickets must be issued.

What if the minimum number of tickets are not issued?

If the draw is canceled, due to lack of participation, all money will be refunded to the people who have donated to enter the draw, minus bank charges and expenses, after $5.00 donation has been made to a local Vanuatu charity. This donation to be posted on the website within one month of the draw being declared closed.

How soon after the closing of the draw will we know the result?

The draw will be within one week of the draw being closed. The winner will be notified as soon as physically possible after the draw. Once the winning ticket has been established the results will be posted on the website, not including personal details.

Can a prize be forfeited?

Yes. If the winner has not been able to be contacted and provide any necessary identification papers by 5.00 p.m. on the 30th day after the Draw, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited his/her prize. If the prize is not legitimately claimed there will be a second draw and so on until the prize is claimed. Someone will win Seachange Lodge!

I’m related to you. Can I enter the draw?

Unfortunately no immediate family may participate in the draw. Any other relation may do so.

No Staff, employee, or Directors, or their families of YouMe Support Foundation, or staff and employees, or their families, of Seachange Lodge may enter the draw.
